His volunteer work includes years of involvement with the Austin Art Alliance in planning, set-up, and operations for the annual art festival, formerly known as Fiesta. He traveled to Mexico in 2003 as part of a team that supervised the building of three homes for Habitat for Humanity. Philip holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
Ann's Bio:
Ann's design career began when she left a corporate job behind and launched a custom jewelry line in 2000. In late 2002, she transformed her small jewelry business into a retail store specializing in gifts, accessories, and home decor. She quickly realized that her interest and passion for design was pointing her towards a career in interior design. The retail store was a success, and in the Spring of 2007, Ann sold the store to pursue a career in design. She successfully completed her studies in interior architecture and design from the prestigious Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Ann earned her first degree, a Bachelor of Science, from Texas A&M University.
In addition to her design and retail background, Ann has a substantial history in customer relations. In the mid 1990's, she worked for a large insurance carrier in Texas as a customer service specialist responsible for complaint and dispute resolution. The skills she honed during this time, provide for great insight when helping clients (especially husbands and wives) work through the often tough give and take of design decisions.
No matter the project, Ann believes that the process should be fun and the end result amazing. If it isn't fun, why do it?
